From Scrap to Skirt

I love leftover fabric. I have baskets full of scraps that I just know I'll use someday.

Riiiiiiight. Most of those lonely scraps have a long wait ahead of them.

Every once in a while, though, inspiration strikes and I know just how to use a leftover piece of fabric. Just last week I took a few scraps of the lovely chocolate brown corduroy I used to make some bloom bags for agent jane and transformed them into a cute little A-line skirt for my toddler.

Now isn't that yummy?

  1. oh, cute! you know, the pattern on my shirt made me wonder about making little patchwork animals on t-shirts with scraps... but that's probably a lot of work!

  2. Very cute. I too have heaps of scrap fabric just waiting for some perfect project. It just makes me happy knowing that my scraps are there waiting for me when inspiration does strike! I could never part with them otherwise.
