A pretty little prize.

This past week Miss C. and I received this pretty little fall skirt in the mail from the wonderful (and talented!!) Kelli at Small Town Stitcher. Kelli was giving away a made-for-your-little-girl fall skirt and I was the lucky winner!
I snapped this photo of my sweetie as she gazed out the window while we waited for grandparents and great-grandparents to arrive on Sunday afternoon for Master W.'s birthday celebration. Goodness, she looks so grown up, yet still so tiny all at the same time.

Thanks, Kelli!

    1. I just want to squeeze her every single day! :) She gets her long, thick hair from me. I had hair exactly like hers when I was a little girl... only mine was strawberry blonde instead of her chestnut brown. Sometimes I think we could have passed for twins at this age if we'd shared the same hair color.

Miss Kitten has long hair... does she let you braid it often? All I did here was pull it into a ponytail, thread a long ribbon through the elastic at the top, braid her hair (be sure to incorporate one of the ribbon lengths into the braid), then wrap it all around her head in a bun. I secured it with the little jaw clip thingies, then tied the ribbons together (wrap the remaining long end around the bun first).

    2. Yes! Kitten has long hair- it's not super thick yet (but am sure it will be with me as her mama) She is getting better about letting me braid it (in the recent past it's been hard to convince her to let me even comb through it). I often do two braided pig tails and have actually done two french braids a time or two. I haven't tried one braid yet... I thinking it needs to thicken up a bit more for that. BUT I am definitely going to have to remember you're little braided bun trick- it's just beautiful! LOVE IT!
